Today we are launching Triage, a medical diagnosis puzzle game that adds a completely new dimension to the Anagrama platform.

Triage presents three clinical cases per week. Each case begins with a patient vignette and a set of initial symptoms. Additional findings are revealed over time. Your goal is to identify the correct medical condition as quickly and accurately as possible.

How It Works

Each case starts with a clinical vignette — a brief description of a patient presenting with specific complaints. Below the vignette, symptoms and findings are revealed progressively. Some appear immediately. Others emerge at timed intervals, simulating the diagnostic process in a real clinical setting.

You can submit your diagnosis at any time. The earlier you diagnose correctly, the higher your tier:

  • Expert (gold trophy). Diagnosed with 2 or fewer symptoms revealed. You figured it out from the vignette and initial findings alone.
  • Proficient (blue star). Diagnosed with 3 symptoms revealed. You needed one extra finding but still caught it early.
  • Solved (green check). Diagnosed with 4 or 5 symptoms revealed. You got there with most or all of the information.
  • Timeout (red X). Did not diagnose within the 3-minute time limit.

The Timer

Each case has a 3-minute countdown timer. The timer starts as soon as you begin the case. New symptoms unlock progressively at 45 seconds, 90 seconds, and 135 seconds into the round. When 15 seconds remain, the timer turns red and begins pulsing to warn you that time is running out.

If the timer expires before you submit a diagnosis, the case is marked as a timeout.

Weekly Format

Triage releases three new cases every Monday. A typical session works like this:

  1. Open Triage and see the weekly overview showing which cases you have completed.
  2. Start a case. Read the clinical vignette and initial findings.
  3. Wait for new symptoms to unlock at 45s, 90s, and 135s — or guess early for a higher tier.
  4. Submit your diagnosis before time expires.

Your performance is ranked into tiers based on how many symptoms you needed: Expert (2 or fewer symptoms revealed), Proficient (3 symptoms), or Solved (4+ symptoms). Diagnosing with fewer clues earns a higher tier.
