Getting Started

Anagrama API

Build word games, educational tools, and creative apps with the Anagrama public API. Generate puzzles, validate words, and look up definitions across 870+ languages. The same API that powers the Anagrama CLI.

Base URL

$https://api.playanagrama.com

All endpoints are relative to this base. The API uses JSON request and response bodies. Authenticated endpoints require a Bearer token in the Authorization header.

API keys provide read-only access to puzzle data. CLI tokens (via Device Code Flow) provide full gameplay access. See API Keys or Device Code Flow. Manage keys, monitor usage, and configure webhooks from the Developer Portal.
